Qualifications:
Education: * BS degree or equivalent experience required (or equivalent training). * Equivalent of 6-10 years relevant experience
Preferred work experience: * Previous experience in Graphic industry or Printing industry is a must. * Experience in purchasing, supply chain management or commodity management. * Preferred technical/engineering experience within relevant commodity. * Knowledge within SEMC internal process and tools, e.g. Project Management, Type Approval, Prototyping, PRIM/SPACE etc .

This position is for a Global High Volume Sourcing Commodity Buyer and the commodity errorarea is Displays (LCD). Position reports to the Global Commodity Manager.
The HVS Commodity Buyer has the following duties:
Secure material availability; Manage material allocations; Manage material liabilities; Communicate global forecast to all suppliers on a monthly basis and confirm supplier capacity and identify capacity constraints; Drive material phase-out projects in order to minimize end-of-life costs; Own and manage the relationship with EMS partners from an overall material supply perspective; Negotiation member of the Global Commodity Team; Manage supplier relationships and when necessary be on-site at supplier to solve problems; Negotiate end-of-life claims with factories and suppliers; Work with Material Supply Product Managers to manage changes in production schedules; Understand the industry trends to identify and resolve capacity constraints.
Qualifications:
